Built in 1924, this historic, beautifully detailed wood and stone hall includes a wrap-around, lodge pole pine porch that is perfect for cocktails or outdoor dining with gorgeous views of the lake. The Grand Hall also features hardwood floors and French doors opening onto the porch and grand lawn. The massive 20-foot tall stone fireplace and walk-in hearth is the perfect backdrop for your guests to gaze upon as they enjoy your special event.

Valhalla Grand Hall
Wed in rustic elegance and charm at Valhalla, centerpiece of the Tallac Historical Site on the South Shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe. Available from mid-April through mid-December. No weddings will be booked the month of July.
Detailed Information on Renting Valhalla

The historic Heller Estate “Valhalla Grand Hall” is available to rent seven days a week from 10:00 AM through 11:00 PM, April 24-December 11, 2017. Valhalla is closed and unavailable for rental throughout the winter season.
Payment may be made by personal check, money order, cashier’s check, or VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. Credit card payments will be assessed an additional 4% service fee for each transaction. Booking non-refundable deposit 50% of rental fee. Final fee due 60 days before rental to include refundable $1000 excessive cleaning/damage deposit.
The rental fees include the use of the Grand Hall, the Grand Lawn for receptions only (weather permitting), a Valhalla Tahoe Overseer/Representative, Valhalla Tahoe parking lot gate attendant, fourteen 60” round tables, four 6’ X 30”, two 8’ X 30” and two 6’ X 18” banquet tables, twelve 4’ x 2’ tables, one 40” round table and Chiavari chairs with white pads. Valhalla Tahoe does not provide dishes, linens, glasses or any serving pieces. These items may be obtained through your caterer. A one year Valhalla Tahoe Joint Membership will be included for the Bridal couple effective on the wedding/rental date. Rental “Farm Tables” are not permitted to be set up or used in the Grand Hall at any time however they may be used on outside Grand Lawn receptions only.
Weather permitting the reception may be held on the Grand Lawn.
Due to fire code regulations we must restrict the number of guests, children, infants and the wedding party to 120 for both the Grand Hall and Grand Lawn outside receptions. Additional personnel such as vendors and Valhalla Tahoe staff are not included in the 120 wedding party/guest total. In no situation is any rental to be more than 120 total in the wedding party/guest total.
All wedding ceremonies must be held in the Grand Hall and cannot he held anywhere outside the Grand Hall, to include the deck/patio or on the grounds of the US Forest Service’s Tallac Historic Site. Outside wedding ceremonies may be held at the adjacent historic Camp Richardson with Camp Richardson approval only. The Preferred Vendors List will be supplied to all inquiries. Vendors not on the Valhalla Tahoe Preferred Vendors List cannot operate at Valhalla without prior approval. A licensed, insured Caterer/Vendor must be hired for the event. Renters may not bring in their own food such as a “Pot Luck.” Renters are required to hire a Full Service or “Day of” Wedding Coordinator/Planner.
