South Lake Tahoe, CA — Valhalla Tahoe, the nonprofit organization that manages the historic Heller Estate, commonly known as Valhalla, is celebrating the 100-year-old historic estate with a special event for the community, to be held on Saturday, October 26th, from 4-9 pm. The celebration will honor Valhalla by inviting the community to gather and celebrate.
The 100-Year Anniversary Party will feature live music by local favorite Bread and Butter Band. Delicious popcorn from Pop Crunch Munch and beer and wine, including a special Valhalla Anniversary beer brewed in partnership with South Lake Brewing Company, will be available for sale. Free lite bites will be provided and sponsored by The Hidden Table, adding a flavorful touch to the festivities.
This celebration will bring the community together to enjoy the property for its original purpose—a gathering place for leisure, entertainment, and connection. “We’re thrilled to invite the community to celebrate Valhalla’s rich history in this beautiful setting. said Meg Peart, Executive Director of Valhalla Tahoe. “Our non-profit is committed to honoring Lake Tahoe’s south shore history while looking toward the future and how our mission to bring arts and culture to basin supports the historic structures of the Heller Estate.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about Valhalla’s current projects, restoration plans, and ways to get involved. Whether through membership, donations, or volunteer opportunities, Valhalla Tahoe invites all who share a passion for its mission to be part of its ongoing legacy.
Recognizing the communities desire to enjoy the Grand Hall and grounds, Valhalla’s Centennial Celebration will include opportunities to connect with old friends, make new ones, and take part in the lively atmosphere that has been the hallmark of the property for generations. The event will be open to the public, with a special focus on welcoming local community members, past and present wedding clients, partners, donors, members, and Friends of the Theatre.
