Loud As Folk returns to Valhalla with an unforgettable evening of stripped-down, soul-filled performances featuring some of the West Coast’s most distinctive voices in Americana and roots music.

Founded by Spike McGuire and operated alongside Greg Gilmore, Loud As Folk has grown from a Reno-based songwriter showcase into a global artist network, fostering collaboration, touring, and musical exploration across genres and borders.This year’s Boathouse Theatre showcase features:

• Willy Tea Taylor – With his signature blend of folk honesty, poetic lyricism, and cowboy soul, Willy Tea has been hailed as one of the most heartfelt storytellers in modern Americana. Drawing comparisons to Townes Van Zandt and John Prine, his music channels the spirit of the working class with humor, vulnerability, and grace. Whether he’s singing about baseball, heartbreak, or the open road, Willy Tea’s songs hit you right in the gut—and stay there.

• Rachael McElhiney – A powerhouse performer known for her genre-blending sound, humor, and musicianship, she brings both warmth and energy to every performance.
